I forgot to mention a couple key things about the writing of “Inside-Up”. As I said in the meeting today, it’s written in more of a script format, so it reads pretty quickly. Stuff between the stars * * are actions, stuff between the parentheses ( ) are the thoughts of the character, and anything else is spoken. A letter (or letters) followed by a colon : at the beginning of a line signifies which character is speaking, acting, and/or thinking. (See the Cover Pages for details.) Also, I tend to use some computer-anime-symbol-type-things, so let me give you a quick rundown of what means what.
~~~
Symbol = Meaning = Picture (if available)
^^ = happy marks (very happy) = ![]()
^^; = sweat drop (embarrassed, unsure, etc.) =
(That’s actually a picture of Rini from Plan 9.)
>.> or >_> = glaring to the right (angry, annoyed, etc.)
<.< or <_< = glaring to the left (angry, annoyed, etc.)
O.o; = big eyes with sweat drop (surprised, scared, unsure, etc.)
~~~
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
EDIT: I forgot to include the anger mark, which is supposed to look like a throbbing vain and indicates extreme anger. (It shows up in Plan 1 for sure, and possibly Plan 0.) I would post a picture of it, but I don’t have one with me right now… I will later, though.
